EXCLAMATION MARK/SIGN

  EXCLAMATION SIGN ( ! ) The exclamation mark (!) is a punctuation mark usually used after an interjection or  exclamation to indicate strong feelings or to show emphasis. An interjection is a part of speech that shows a sharp sudden feeling. Eg. " Help !" Shouted the drowning boy. The word "help" is an interjection and should be followed by an exclamation sign. Now can you determine where the exclamation sign is needed in the following? 1. Quick Bring me a cup of water. 2. The fans shouted "Hurray" 3. Fire Fire Help The man shouted. 4. Wow What a memory you have. 5. Pictograph A pictograph is  a chart that uses pictures to represent data .
